Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Buddy von Barnes is an absolutely beautiful, regal 4 year old German Shepherd. A family found him running the streets. They took him home and notified their local animal shelter in case his owners would come to pick him up. Well, they never did but the family who found him was not able to keep him even though they would have loved to. The small children fell in love with him and named him Buddy. He was so gentle with the small children. He slept in the bed with the little boy and even let the little girl lay on him with her blanket while he ate. When we rescued him, the children cried. They wrote letters addressed to the new owners and used their own money to buy him a new collar and leash. We kept their letters in sealed envelopes so his new family will have a happy surprise. He was not fond of the family’s cat, though. He loves people and was such a gentleman in the vet’s office. Everyone remarked at how beautiful he is. He sits in an elegant pose, is very confident and alert but loving and affectionate. He is large and strong. The volunteers offered him a little treat and he took it so gently. We could go on and on about Buddy’s amazing qualities. Buddy is a special guy who will bring endless amounts of joy and happiness to your life.
