Candace and Chyna von Brink are well cared for, lovely 4 year old girls. We can tell instantly that they were someone’s prized pets, they are calm and well socialized. They know how to walk nicely on a leash or wait patiently in a veterinary hospital. Sadly, their owner died, the landlord took the dogs to the shelter. The girls were considered “private property” and were kept separate from the rest of the dogs while family members were contacted. The shelter staff fully expected that someone would come for the well cared for girls. They waited for 6 long weeks in the back of the shelter no one came for them. Today the girls got a bath and their nails done, they feel good again about life. After spending 6 weeks in separate kennels at the shelter, they are now back together. In a few days they get to go to a foster home, we are so excited for them. We introduced the girls to a kitten and later a cat, they seem to have no interest in cats. It is so cute, when anyone says “girls” their ears perk up. We know they were someone’s special girls.
