Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Drew was once a prize, anyone would have been thrilled to have a dog like him. He is a much sought after long haired black and red German Shepherd from import lines. Look at him now. His family had him for 10 years, once he got a little stiff in his back legs he was thrown away.They must have stopped caring a long time ago, his coat is a mess. Drew was so happy to feel the grass on his paws, he was so happy to rest in a sun spot. A volunteer spend a little time with him at the shelter, so he got to get out of his cement and chain link run. Drew is a sweetheart, he is fine with other dogs and is already attached to the kennel people. Drew is living on borrowed time, we don't want to take him and have him live out his last year or two in a kennel, we want to find him a home. We always say to people that we see the worst of people in rescue but we also see the best. We are hoping for someone to step forward and give this guy the kind of love he has never had before. We need someone fast!
