Smokey is an eight month old dark sable male. His dark coloring is very popular in Germany among working dogs. He seems to have had good care his coat is soft and shiny and he appears to be well socialized. Smokey shared a kennel with two small dogs at the shelter and was a very good roommate. His striking looks and sweet temperament caught our volunteer’s eye when she was at the shelter. When she came close, Smokey gave her his paw and a kiss as if to say pick me, pick me. Well, as you can see his plan worked. He likes other dogs and loves people. He loves to nuzzle and give kisses. Smokey has a beautiful confident gait. In fact when one of our volunteers was walking with Smokey some kids stopped her to ask if he was a K9 working dog. Smokey walks well on a leash, right by your side and takes direction very well. We can’t imagine how someone could have lost such a wonderful sweet boy. But their loss is definitely going to be some lucky family’s gain.
